Paweł Wojtasik’s films and installations are visionary and poetic reflections on our environment and culture.
His recent work includes “Below Sea level”, a 360° groundbreaking panoramic video installation about post-Katrina New Orleans (shown at MASS MoCA 2009-2010, sound by Stephen Vitiello), and “At the Still Point,” a 5-channel piece shot in India (solo show at Smack Mellon, 2010, with sound by Stephen Vitiello).
Another piece, “Next Atlantis”, a collaboration with composer Sebastian Currier, premiered at Carnegie Hall in January of this year. Wajtasik was born in Poland and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
